I had time to read four more great books during the winter. This time, I have focused on books advocating more natural approach, which I would like to practice. I enjoyed reading all there books and learnt a lot from them:
- Top-Bar Beekeeping: Organic Practices for Honeybee Health, Les Crowder, Heather Harrell. Go natural all the way to the Top-Bar hives.
- The Complete Idiot's Guide to Beekeeping, Dean Stiglitz, Laurie Herboldsheimer. Natural beekeeping with Langstroth hives.
- The Practical Beekeeper Volume I Beginning Beekeeping Naturally, Michael Bush. Natural and practical beekeeping without treating.
Finally, I read Jeremy Rose's book which is specific to beekeeping in coastal California, where I live. It explains Varroa mite management methods that are natural.
- Beekeeping in Coastal California, Jeremy Rose.
